A pair of Collingwood teens have been charged with pointing a firearm after an incent on Sun., Mar. 23.

Shortly before midnight, Collingwood OPP responded to a complaint of two boys walking along Hurontario St., pointing a gun at a passing motorist. The weapon was later discovered to be a pellet gun, but Const. Theresa Van Boven says it doesn't matter.

"When we respond to a call of this nature, where a gun is reported to be involved, public and personal safety is paramount."

The boys, ages 16 and 17, both from Collingwood, have been charged with pointing a firearm and will appear in court on May 1.
