After 16 court appearances, the scheduled, three-hour trial of a 35-year-old Clearview Township woman has been moved instead to a pre-trial on Apr. 7.

Pauline Pregent,  who faces two counts of fraud over $5,000 involving the Corporation of the County of Simcoe Social Services, will return to Collingwood court on Apr. 8 to either set a third date for trial, or for another disposition.

The accused is currently being represented by trial lawyer Vincent Zenobio.
