Dear Editor: Advocacy, public consultation and awareness are extremely important to protect Lake Simcoe. Citizens taking ownership of the problem and working towards action coupled with consultation and provincial legislation will no doubt move the health of Lake Simcoe forward - in time.

To clean the lake will cost $163,000,000 which must come from all levels of government, corporations, foundations and individual investors.

Debby Beatty, president, Lake Simcoe Foundation
