Editor:

I note that a May 14th Collingwood Hearing Clinic letter to Mayor

Carrier is included in the Council's June 8th Agenda correspondence

items.

This letters refers to an explosion at Collingwood Ethanol and contains

'explosive' opinions.  I object to the letter comments as:

1. The Hearing Clinic was recently located across from Collingwood

Ethanol with full knowledge that it was near an industrial area.

2. Collingwood Ethanol has cooperated with the Collingwood Fire

Department and police services to review plant processes and any

emergencies.

3. The Hearing Clinic could have asked the Town if there was a process

in place for emergencies rather than making public an 'inflammatory'

letter.

4. The newby statement that Collingwood Ethanol must relocate is not

appropriate.

Any support for or endorsement of this letter will certainly

discourage all present and future companies from operating in

Collingwood.
