Hall of Fame inducts two

The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting two new members on Sat., Sept. 6.

Wayne Hunwicks will be inducted in the builder category for his more than 30 years of coaching football at CCI, while Jim McAllister will be inducted as an athlete for his accomplishments on the fastball diamond.

The induction will take place at the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club at 6:30 p.m. and will feature George Black as the guest speaker.

Black recently completed a four-year term as the director of officiating for the Canadian Football League, following 22 seasons as an on-field official and referee from 1979-2000.

Tickets for this evening are $35 and are available at the Town of Collingwood Leisure Services department the Blue Mountain Golf & Country Club and Georgian Design Centre or by calling 705-444-2500.
