Hurontario Street will be alive next weekend.
The Georgian Bay Association for the Creative Arts will be holding the Collingwood Outdoor Art Festival on Aug. 2 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Aug. 3 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
The event was formerly known as Art in the Park(ing lot), which was held at Second and Pine Streets but will now be held from Loblaw Great Food Store to Third St.
Larry Lawrence, president of GBACA, said about 70 artists will be showcasing their work, which includes paintings, sculptures, stained glass, textiles and photography.
"Everything is for sale, but it must be created by the artist," he said.
The event is in celebration of the town's sesquicentennial and is a partnership between GBACA and the BIA.
"Certainly, we have such a vibrant and historic downtown, that we are pleased to be right on the main street," she said.
