The Highlands Nordic Trailblazers Ski Team has successfully completed its first-ever end-to-end, relay-style run of the Bruce Trail.
The eight-day, 840-kilometre trek began on Tues., June 24 in Tobermory at the Northern Terminus Cairn of the Bruce Trail and ended around 7:30 p.m. on Canada Day at the Southern Terminus Cairn in Queenston Heights Park, Niagara Falls.
Officials with the team, based at the Highlands Nordic Ski Centre on Nottawasaga Concession 10, west of Duntroon, note that some members logged more than 100 kilometres during the run, in some cases running up to 30 kilometres a day.
