The Meaford Harbour 5K Run/Walk banners are on display again as you enter and leave town, via highway 26. 

Over the past 11 years this event has raised $79,000 to support the purchase of medical equipment at the Meaford Hospital.  This year the organizers hope to reach the $100,000 plateau.

The event will be held on Sat., July 19, at 9 a.m. sharp.  Registration on race day is from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. 

Application and pledge forms can be found on the Meaford Hospital Foundation website, a link to which is provided, or at several locations in Meaford, Thornbury and Collingwood.

New for this year is a noncompetitive option for those who find the course a little daunting.  Donate $10 and take a stroll around the harbour. 

Whether you are a competitive runner/walker or you prefer a leisurely stroll, the main reason for the event is to have fun and raise funds for our community hospital.
