Collingwood Collegiate Institute's 150th reunion takes place from Fri., June 27-Sun., June. 29.
More than 1,000 former students are expected to attend the reunion which will feature a host of events over the three-day period.
One of the events is the open talent showcase, which will include performances by The Marcado's - a band including local resident Fran Webster, the cast of the CCI musical Grease and No Nonsense.
The showcase will be held on June 28 from 1-4 p.m., after the opening ceremonies, which kick off at 11 a.m.
The a cappella vocal quartet No Nonsense was formed in CCI in the late 1980s and is comprised of Mike Hughes, Glenn Miller, James Carson and Trevor Hanley. The group performed at a number of school functions as well as events in the community and they even sang the national anthem at a Toronto Blue Jays game. During their CCI tenure, the group performed in Germany, Halifax and Florida.
Carson said the group hasn't sung together since the mid-1990s and are looking forward to get back together.
"It's going to be fun," he said. "We haven't done it in a while."
He said the group performs a variety of music including hits from the 1950s and 60s.
Annie Chandler of CCI said tickets for the event are 80 per cent sold out.
"Registrations are coming in fast," she said. "People should register as soon as possible. We don't want people to be disappointed."
