If you are good with a putter, you could be the Georgian Triangle Putting Champion.
The award is the latest addition to the Daisy of Hope Putting Challenge, which takes place at Superstition putting course at Georgian Manor Resort on June 20.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to about 4 p.m. and raises money for My Friend's House, a 24-hour shelter that assists abused women in the Georgian Triangle.
The cost is $30 per person or $120 per foursome and will help support the charity in its goal of raising $20,000 to help offset the $177,000 needed to run the shelter.
Jackie Walker of My Friend's House said for the first time, the man and woman with the lowest score will be given the title of the Georgian Bay Putting Champion.
Walker said there will also be refreshments and prizes, including a chance to win a trip to the Ocean Manor Resort in the Dominican Republic.
"It's a lot of fun," said Walker.
There are still plenty of tee times available, as teams tee off every six minutes. Those interested in participating can call Walker at 444-2586 ext. 21 or e-mail jwalker@myfriendshouse.ca
