The Cooking Ladies are making a stop at Beach Builders Home Hardware in Wasaga Beach this Saturday during their 30-city On the Road 2008 tour.

The Cooking Ladies, Phyllis Hinz and Lamont Mackay, are Home Hardware's official kitchen experts and will be visiting 30 stores during a 14,000-kilometre road trip from Ontario to British Columbia and back.

Hinz and Mackay have made a name for themselves as food columnists, cookbook authors, travel writers and restaurant consultants after running restaurants themselves for more than 20 years.

The all-day event, beginning at 9 a.m., will feature a number of product demonstrations.

The Cooking Ladies will be cooking in their 40-foot custom motor home kitchen from 2-4 p.m.

Proceeds collected during the day will go to Front Line Collingwood Foundation's Titz n' Glitz project. The charity provides short-term financial support for breast cancer patients in the area.

Organizers promise door prizes, giveaways and refreshments.
