Grease will be the word at Collingwood Collegiate Institute on May 28.

The CCI drama department will be presenting a production of Grease from May 28 - May 31 at 7 p.m.

Drama teacher Sonya Synnott Prosser said the department has been planning the production since November.

She said they wanted to produce a show that would allow them to work with the CCI band.

"They are an amazing pit band," she said.

She said about 80 people are involved in the show, including actors, set designers, lighting coordinators and costume designers.

She said the reason Grease was chosen was for its wide appeal.

"Grease attracts a wide range of audience reactions," she said.

The show stars Kristin Elton and Matt Lawrence as Sandy and Danny.

"I think they can expect a spectacular show," she said. "Two-and-a-half hours of fun."

Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for students and seniors and are available at CCI or Saunders Office Pro on Hurontario St.
